The mechanism of action of drug trafficking has disfigured the social, economic, and aesthetic fabric of the geographic location of the places where it manifests.
Through this public action, I express my strong rejection of the violent reality that a narco-state like Colombia is piercing through, mired into the absurdity of its own self-destruction.
This critical look at the cartography of the conflict, exposes local events that have radically transformed the memory and history of Cali, my birthplace. I have conducted markings of the exploded bombs in the city during the cartel drug war in the late eighties, early nineties, as an excuse to intervene the numbness at the "normalization of horror" in a city that does not remember its past.
El mecanismo de acción del narcotráfico ha desfigurado el tejido social, económico y estético de la Geografía de los lugares donde se manifiesta.
A través de esta acción publica, expreso mi contundente rechazo a la violenta realidad que atraviesa un narco-estado como Colombia, sumido en el absurdo de su propia autodestrucción.
Esta mirada critica a la cartografía del conflicto, expone sucesos del contexto local que han transformado radicalmente la memoria y la historia de Cali, mi ciudad natal. Un señalamiento de las bombas durante la Guerra de Carteles en Colombia a finales de los ochenta comienzos de los noventas, es la excusa para intervenir el adormecimiento ante la “normalización del horror” en una ciudad que no recuerda su pasado.
